Pricing Information
All live pricing and real-time availability are shown directly in our booking system. We believe in clear, upfront costs with no hidden surprises.
What Affects Your Price
- Trailer Type: Dump trailers, enclosed cargo, or mini excavator rentals.
- Rental Length: Discounted rates available for multi-day and weekly rentals.
- Add-ons: Specialized hitches, ramps, or extra equipment.
- Location: Applicable Utah state taxes and fees based on pickup.
- For added convenience, delivery and pickup services may be available for an additional fee. Please contact us for availability and pricing based on your location.
Standard Fees & Deposits
- Reservation Deposit: A 30% non refundable reservation deposit is charged at the time of booking to reserve your rental date. This amount is applied toward the total rental cost. Remaining balance is due at pickup.
- Late Returns: Late fees may apply for overdue returns to ensure equipment availability for scheduled rentals.
- Cleaning Fee: Up to a $100 cleaning fee may be charged if equipment is returned with excessive debris, mud, concrete, or prohibited materials.
- Damage Responsibility: Renters are responsible for damage caused by misuse, overloading, prohibited materials, improper towing, or negligent operation of the equipment.
Who Can Rent?
Age Requirements: Renters must be 21 years of age or older to operate our equipment and trailers.
Valid Driver’s License: A current, valid driver's license must be presented at the time of pickup or delivery.
Tow Vehicle Capacity: Your vehicle must be equipped with the appropriate hitch and have a towing capacity that meets or exceeds the trailer's GVWR.
Proof of Insurance: Renters must provide active certificates of insurance covering both the tow vehicle and the rented equipment.
ID & Payment: A valid government-issued ID and a matching credit/debit card are required for the security deposit and rental fees.
Scorpio Rentals reserves the right to decline any rental that we deem unsafe or where requirements are not fully met. Safety is our priority in Northern Utah.

Pickup & Drop-off
Load Safety
Cancellation Policy
Renters are responsible for returning equipment on time to our Northern Utah or Salt Lake location. Late returns impact the next customer and will result in additional hourly or daily charges as listed in your agreement.
Safety is non-negotiable. Renters must ensure loads are properly secured, weight is balanced, and the tow vehicle's rating is never exceeded. We provide guidance, but final setup is the renter's responsibility.
Cancellation & Rescheduling. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled rental date may qualify for a one time reschedule based on availability. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental date may forfeit the reservation deposit.
Prohibited Uses
Trailers and excavators must stay on maintained roads. Off-roading, reckless operation, or illegal hauling is strictly prohibited. Misuse will result in immediate termination of the rental and loss of deposit.
Breakdowns & Emergencies
In the unlikely event of a mechanical failure, stop the vehicle immediately and call us. Do not attempt major repairs. We will work to resolve the issue or provide a swap if equipment is available.
Negligence & Tickets
The renter is personally responsible for all parking tickets, tolls, and traffic violations incurred during the rental. Negligence-related damage to tires, jacks, or lights is the renter's financial responsibility.

Where is the pickup location?
We are based in Northern Utah or in the Salt Lake area upon request. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive the exact address for pickup and drop-off in your confirmation email.

Yes. We offer delivery and pickup throughout the Northern Utah and Salt Lake areas depending on availability. Starting at $40 or packages available.
What is the cancellation policy?

What if I need to reschedule due to bad weather?
We prioritize your safety. If Northern Utah weather conditions make towing unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule your rental at no additional cost.
What happens if I return the trailer late?
Late returns affect the next customer. A late fee is applied for every hour past the scheduled return time. Please text us immediately if you anticipate a delay.
